As a single mom and small business owner, I bring a unique perspective to the table, driven by my personal experiences and unwavering commitment to making a difference.
From an early age, I discovered the power of hard work and the importance of giving back. Selling lemonade, cleaning homes, and dedicating my time to volunteering laid the foundation for my journey. Growing up, my parents exposed me to the transformative influence of music, arts, and diverse communities, shaping my belief in the potential for positive change.
This belief led me to launch my first business, providing affordable design services to small businesses. But my love for community blossomed further when I joined a non-profit organization. There, I honed my skills in fundraising, advocacy, and supporting those in need.
However, life has a way of teaching us important lessons, and the pandemic served as a wake-up call. It revealed two undeniable truths: job security is not guaranteed and multiple streams of income is a necessity. Fueled by these realizations, I made a courageous decision—to push my “easy button” and make sacrifices to build something impactful.
With unwavering determination, I invested my 401k funds and savings to acquire my first property, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my life. Thus, Urbanized Move was born.
